Painting Accepted
I am delighted to let you know that my painting of Claddagh, Galway has been accepted in a book about Galway due to be published
I took an art class once and the teacher asked me why I always painted pictures of children. He left my side muttering something about, “I’m sure there is something in that”.
My background as a Montessori teacher perhaps was a clue. This I followed up with a Masters in Art Therapy (2013). I have self-published two children’s books called “What if?” and “More What If?”.
I have since added buildings, people, landscapes and of course children to my work which is mainly through the medium of gouache.
Originally from Mayo but now living in Cork I am drawn back to the landscape of the West. I guess it feels like coming home.
